Q. Can you clean windows if it rains?
A. Yes. Let me explain the whole rain issue. You see, your windows look dirty because dust accumulates on them. Then Rain drops hit the windows drawing this dust & dirt into the droplets. This bunches the dirt into spots on your windows. When the rain dries, the dirt is left behind in a dirty looking spot on your window. Rain water itself isn’t really dirty and if there is no dirt on your window, then rain drops won’t have any dirt to bunch into spots. I get the dirt off of your windows. So Yes window can be washed if it rains or if it is going to rain even.

Q. What weather will prevent you from cleaning my windows?
A. Basically if there is any type of weather related alert (except flood) there’s a chance we’ll need to reschedule your work. Some of the more dangerous situations for us are: wind, heavy snow/rain and lightning.

Q. Do I have to have you clean ALL of my windows? Can I just pick and choose?
A. Yes you can! Our PICK ’N' CHOOSE service nominal charge for each additional pane for the inside and out and any associated screens.

Q. Do I have to be home to receive an estimate?
A. No. We can do your estimate without you being at home. We’ll walk around your property and count the windows and make note of any obstructions at that time. If you have pets please have them confined so they aren’t free to roam the property while we’re there.

Q. Do I need to take down my drapes/blinds/decorations?
A. Yes please. If the drapes or blinds are out of the way, don’t worry about them. If you have decorations on your windows, please remove them before we arrive. We will NOT move fragile decorations under any circumstances. This also goes for vases, pictures, etc. that you may have placed in your window sills.

Q. What about furniture? I’m a senior citizen and can’t move my couch (davenport for you older folks).
A. I do it for you, don’t worry. If there’s just a couple of things to move there’s no charge but if you have something in front of most of your windows and we spend a reasonable amount of time moving your furniture around then you can expect a small additional moving fee added to your bill.

Q. I have stickers on my windows. Can you remove those?
A. No problem. I usually charge $2 extra per surface for razor scraping or chemical application.

Q. How long does this take?
A. You can figure about an hour per $50 so if  I  bid your house at $150 it will take about 3 hours. Some companies actually brag about how fast they clean your windows. This isn’t a job you want to rush.

Q. But it’s raining, can I reschedule?
A. Yes, BUT our schedule is usually pretty full so you may have to wait a few days or a week or more to get back on the schedule.

Q. My windows are always dirty. Can you help?
A. YES! We offer monthly and quarterly service! Just let us know and we’ll give you a price for either service. It’s always payable in advance but signing up for one of these regular services will ensure clean and happy windows year-round!

Q. Year-round?! What about winter? Isn’t it too cold?
A. Yes, it’s FAR too cold but WE STILL CLEAN WINDOWS in the winter. We use a slightly different chemical mixture and we use different equipment but yes, we will still clean windows year-round.

A: We have our own supplies and equipment. All we ask is that there is a clear path to the windows. Remove any antiques, heirlooms, breakables, “nick-knacks”, etc. from furniture that may be in front of the window, or on the window sill.

Q: How often should I clean my windows?

A: We have many packages available that can be customized to meet your needs. And you should clean or have your windows cleaned at least twice a year once in the spring to wash off the winter dirtiness and once in the fall the wash off the summer dirtiness.

Featured Tips

Stay out of the sun – avoid washing windows in direct sunlight.  Cleaning solutions can dry too quickly which will cause streaking and smearing.

Use an Extension Pole

Sometimes Using An Extension Pole Is Quicker, Safer and easier then climbing a ladder.

Home remedy – it helps to have a cleaning solution that can cut grease, nicotine and other residue.  Eight (8) cups of water, ¾ cup of clear ammonia and a teaspoon of dish detergent should do the trick.
